3 Hazard identification
No known hazards resulting in acute health effects.
4 First aid measures
Inhalation: Remove affected person to fresh air and rest.
Ingestion: Rinse all the powder from the mouth with water and give affected person plenty of water to drink. Seek medical advice.
Skin Contact Wash off the skin using plenty of water.
Eye Contact: Hold eyelids apart and irrigate for a minimum of 10 minutes.
If symptoms persist seek medical advice and treat symptomatically
5 Fire fighting measures
This product is a fire extinguishing medium so no special precautions are required.
6 Accidental release measures
Use a vacuum cleaner to reduce dust formation and remove to sealed bags or containers for disposal in accordance with local Controlled Waste Regulations.
7 Handling and storage
Handling: Use local mechanical exhaust ventilation and suitable containment methods. Keep personnel exposure to a minimum.
Storage: Keep the product in a cool dry place away from vibration to minimise compaction of the product.
8 Exposure controls and personal protection
Respirators: Use suitable dust mask or respirator. Keep exposure below OES.
Eye protection: Wear suitable dust proof goggles.
Skin / General Protection : Wear overalls and gloves suited to the task.

Appearance: Fine white/ pale yellow powder.
Odour: Odourless
pH: 4.5 of 5% solution in water.
Density / Specific Gravity: Settled: 1000 - 1300 kg/m³ ; loose: 1.8 gm/m³
Solubility: Soluble. Silicon additive delays dissolution.
Flammability: Non-flammable
Decomposition: at 190 °C in flame zone
10 Stability and reactivity
Damp powder becomes hard and is not suitable for fire fighting purposes. Will react with alkalis and give off ammonia.

Ingestion: Non-harmful
Skin contact: Mildly irritant only
Inhalation: Lung function impairment if inhaled over a long period of time.
Eye contact: Dust can cause irritation and discomfort.
12 Ecological information
The product could lower the pH in a watercourse and in the event of a large discharge the relevant local authority would need to be informed. Phosphates and ammonium salts act as plant fertilizers.
13 Disposal considerations
Do not dispose with alkalis. Waste to be disposed of in accordance with local Controlled Waste Regulations.

Not classified as hazardous.
15 Regulatory information
Refer to local Manual Handling regulations for the movement of the larger pack sizes. This product is not classified as a hazardous chemical under the Chemicals regulations 1994 (Packaging). The user is required to undertake an individual workplace risk assessment.
